Where all the amazing events take place in the Great Hall, where students discover many doors to the broom closet, and to the staircases leading for more exploration.

Where three of our lovely classes reside as well as a couple professor's offices.

Trailing up the stair case to the second floor you will find the out of order Moaning Myrtles bathroom, as well as the office to the Dark Art's teacher.

The charms classroom, armor gallery, hospital wing and the trophy room are what await you up another level

The corridor below the prefects' bathroom leads from the nearest staircase to the prefects' bathroom on the floor above and has a tapestry hanging about halfway down the corridor. This tapestry conceals a narrower staircase forming a shortcut that leads down two floors. Contains another corridor, and the well known library

The fifth floor is Mainly a prefect floor a lounge for the prefects and head boy and girl to hang out, also a bathroom known as the prefects bathroom.

there is a passageway between that bathroom and the marble staircase leading up to the seventh floor. The Ancient Runes and Arithmancy classrooms is also located here.

See Hogwarts denizens page for artwork around this floor - among other things, there is a statue of Lachlan the Lanky just to the right of the stairs. Leads to the Gryffindor Common Room, several corridors, a few teacher offices, Divination Classroom, and the special Room of Requirement

To the east of Hogwarts castle is a large, dark forest. This forest is strictly off limits to Hogwarts students, except in the course of occasional Care of Magical Creatures lessons or detentions. The forest is thick with trees -- beech, oak, pine, sycamore, and yew are mentioned, as well as undergrowth such as knotgrass and thorns, but there are paths, brooks, and some clearings. Off the path, the way is almost impassable, although people have moved through it and creatures as large as Acromantulas have been able to get through.

There is a wide flat lawn opposite the castle from the forest and Hagrid's hut as well as sloping lawns lead down toward the forest and border the lake.

Three Greenhouses are aligned along one another, connecting to a path that leads back up to the school. This is where Herbology class takes place

PROFESSOR:

Located to the south of the castle, which stands on a cliff overlooking the water. The Black lake is approximately a half-mile in diameter, and various creatures live in it's waters.

The Whomping Willow is a very valuable, very violent tree planted alone in the middle of the school grounds. It will attack just about anything that get's even ten feet in front of it.

Knockturn Alley shops hold the darker and the more dangerous objects that are known to the wizarding world. Careful when you're walking through here since you never know who you'll meet.

The only all-Wizarding village in Britain. It was founded by Hengist of Woodcroft. Hogsmeade is located at the northwest of Hogwarts Castle. Students may sometimes come on Hogsmeade weekend trips, but only third year students and above with guardian permission are allowed to visit.

The headquarters of the Ministry of Magic [Wizarding Government] is located in the heart of London. The actual structure is all underground, although magical windows show whatever weather Magical Maintenance has chosen for the day, from bright sunshine to hurricanes.

Founded in late 1500s or early 1600s by Mungo Bonham, St. Mungo's Hospital is the primary (and likely only) wizarding hospital in Britain. Located in an abandoned department store in London, the hospital's Healers treat wizards for all sorts of magic-related illnesses and injuries, and in extreme circumstances has been known to treat Muggles as well. The hospital's logo is a wand and a bone, crossed, and donations are welcome

Maxium Security Wizard Prison. Half the cells are full of dark wizards and Death Eaters. Dementors, nasty creautes guard the prison which is isolated on a very small island in the north sea surrounded by endless water.
